Making Your First Prediction
Ready to predict the future? Here's how to place your first prediction on Oyrade.
Step 1: Find a Market
- Browse markets on the Markets page
- Filter by category: Crypto, Politics, Sports, etc.
- Click on a market to view details
Popular market types:
- Pump.fun tokens: "Will $TOKEN hit $1M market cap?"
- Crypto prices: "ETH above $5,000 by April?"
- Events: "Will event X happen by date Y?"
Step 2: Understand the Odds
Each market shows:
| Element | Meaning |
|---|---|
| YES price | Cost to predict outcome happening (e.g., $0.65) |
| NO price | Cost to predict outcome NOT happening (e.g., $0.35) |
| Volume | Total trading activity |
| Expiry | When the market resolves |
Price = Probability
A YES price of $0.65 means the market thinks there's a ~65% chance the event happens.
Step 3: Place Your Prediction
- Click "Buy YES" or "Buy NO"
- Enter your prediction amount in USDC
- Review potential payout:
- If you're right:
Amount ÷ Price = Shares × $1.00 - Example: $65 at $0.65 = 100 shares = $100 if correct
- If you're right:

Your belief: 70% likely (but market says 55%)
Action: Buy YES at $0.55
Prediction: $55 USDC → 100 YES shares
If correct: 100 shares × $1.00 = $100 (82% profit)
If wrong: Shares worth $0 (lose $55)
